DivorceCare

Lewisburg United Methodist Church will offer DivorceCare classes. A 13 week series will begin on Wednesday evening, September 8.  DivorceCare is a national support program which helps people who are experiencing divorce, breakup and separation. The classes will start at 7 pm and end at 9 pm and will meet in the church parlor, second floor of the building near the sanctuary.  (Park in the lot nearest the post office.)   A pre-school nursery will be provided. Each lesson stands on its own, so if you can't make it for all of them, come for the ones you can.  For questions about the class contact Bev Engleour group administrator or call the church office at 645-2727.  Visitors to our site:  Please take a moment to pray for our DivorceCare ministry, its leaders and those who are struggling with divorce and separation.  Thank you for blessing us.  May you be blessed for lifting us up in prayer.

Facilitators for the group meetings are Kay Jones and Janice Morgan, two women who are guidance counselors at our county schools.  These two women have a real concern for and understanding of individuals who are going through a divorce or separation.  Some of the weekly topics include:  anger, depression, loneliness, new relationships, financial survival, kid care, sexuality, forgiveness, reconciliation and moving on.  DivorceCare is non-denominational and features biblical teaching as well as support for individuals.  You are invited to watch the video below for more information.  (Just click on the triangle on the left side of the photo.)
