WorshipLewisburg United Methodist Church offers three worship services each weekend. Saturday Night Alive is held at 6pm on Saturday evenings. This service is held in the church's fellowship hall on the first floor. Folks are invited to come as they are to worship, fellowship and enjoy light refreshments. Our pastors preach on Saturday Night as well as the two services on Sunday morning. Worship services are held at 9am and 11am on Sunday mornings. These services are held in the sanctuary and include lots of music and a sermon by one of our pastors, Rev. Dr. Joe Kenaston or Rev. Jeff Kanode. On January 3rd and 4th, 2009, we began a new, year long series Living in the Word. It is an exciting program that will be integrated into worship, small groups, personal study and devotion time (using a Life Journal) and sharing and discussion in worship, the church newsletter, and here on the church website. A Taizé worship service is also offered once a month. The Taizé service is held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the sanctuary. This quiet, meditative service includes spoken, sung and silent prayer. A variety of instruments, including the piano, guitar, flute, clarinet and violin, provide the musical accompaniment. Holy Communion and the opportunity to be anointed with oil are also offered. The next Taizé prayer service will be held on Tuesday, July 7th at 7:00pm.
