Sunday School ClassesLewisburg United Methodist Church offers Sunday School classes for all ages!
Classes are held from 10:00am -10:45am.
A nursery is always provided.
Children’s Sunday School Classes
3 & 4 Year Olds with Phyllis and Bill Zink
age 5-1st grade with Kim Kowalkowski and Kelli Stewart
2nd and 3rd grades with Jeanie and Mike Wyatt
4th and 5th grades with Sheryl and Rich Hulmes
Youth Sunday School Classes
Middle School (grades 6, 7 and 8) with Tammy Shifflett
High School (grades 9, 10, 11 and 12) with Meredith Donnelly
Adult Sunday School Classes
The Project 129 Sunday School Class is geared toward folks in their 20's. LUMC's newest class is led by a young couple and includes single and married folks who are in school, starting jobs, starting families and so forth.
The Y.A.C.H.T. Club Sunday School Class is made up of young adults in their 20’s and 30's. This class if currently discussing Current Events on a weekly basis. Pastor Jeff leads this class.
The Spiritual Reflections Sunday School Class consists of adults, including many parents and couples, primarily in their 40’s and 50’s. Rev. Dr. Joe Kenaston leads this class.
The Wesley Sunday School Class is primarily middle aged adults in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.They are a very active class that rotates teachers and subject matter throughout the year. They always have breakfast and a great discussion. A rotating team of teachers provides leadership for this class.
The Singles Sunday School Class, known as PALS (People Alone Living Spiritually) are reading and discussing Rick Warren's book, The Purpose Driven Life. Leader for this class is Bev Engle. Class is mostly fifty/sixty somethings and meets in the church parlor at 10:00am.
The Choir Sunday School Class meets at a slightly different time than the rest of the classes. They gather at 9:45 and meet until 10:30, which allows the adults who are in the choir to participate in a Sunday School Class. However, all adults, whether in the choir or not, are invited to take part in this class. The class will resume on September 14th and will be using a program called Faithlink which invites Christians to apply their beliefs to current faith issues and world events. Rev. Dr. Joe Geiger provides leadership for this class.
The Christian Home Studies Sunday School Class is composed of mature adults. This class focuses strongly upon the care of others. They visit homebound persons and those in nursing homes. Many folks receive cards from this class and they give special care to those who need some extra attention around the holidays. This class rotates teachers and is a large, active class.
The Willing Workers Sunday School Class is attended by a group of mature women. Roger Hodges teaches the class and always presents thorough, interesting lessons!
The Baraca Men’s Sunday School Class is made up of mature men. Teachers for this class rotate and each week the class always begins with a hymn sing before they study together.
